Does the job but the screen resolution is not on par with iPad. Must zoom to see all map items. I wish there was a mounting option with it as it very thick. OS is stuck with Android 12, so a bit worried with end of support for apps. There are almost identical rugged tablets with bright screens on AliExpress. What’s the difference then? Support? Wireless charging is clearly missing on a sailing tablet. Newer models might have it like the competition (Orca).

Hi, regarding the end of apps support, apps like Navionics are still supported by Android 7. The problem is that now Google publish a new version every year for marketing reason, even if there's a few changes. For us, it means that we have to readapt the OS to our tablet (because Google doesn't care about other manufacturers), then pass a new Google certification. Costs are huge: for each version of the OS, we would have to increase the price of 100€. That's why we differentiate now the model S, that are cheaper, and X, that offer the upgrade. If you check real 1000 nits rugged tablets with the same specs, you'll see that these are not so cheaper than ours. Add to the the 2 years warranty, the service (I'm not sure that Chinese Aliexpress sellers send you a return label when returning the tablet) and support. And also some specs that you'll never see on Aliexpress, like wet and glove touch, polarised sunglasses compatibility, ant-glare coating, Galileo compatibility (and this makes a huge difference in accuracy!), etc. NB: I just checked 5 tablets on Aliexpress, between 450 and 729 €, two were running Android 9, one Android 10, one Android 11 and one Android 13. Wireless charging is difficult to achieve on a sunlight readable tablet. You need between 2.5 and 3A and it's really difficult with wireless charging. Donc check only the advertising, but also the real comments of users please...
